I was so angry with sam through this season

To me this scene was made to 100% depict that Dean is not Sam's brother, he is his MOTHER.. parent. It clearly shows why he can't let Sam die, because he is his parent he raised him literally by himself.. This is obvious throughout the series but this scene confirms this imo. It's not being selfish or anything it's simply parent's instinct that they cannot accept their child's death and there's no reasoning needed. It simply is the worst thing that could possibly happen to a parent to lose a child. So this is the message this scene portrays :,) Dean is a loving parent he is more than Sam's big brother. Similar to season 2 Sam's death when he didn't even blink twice to bring him back. It's a normal parent thing that needs no explanation and Sam later on comes to fully grasp and realize this <3 kudos to top-notch character development <3

The way to dominate the way to crush Me: so technically to destroy me and to pick me apart and find my weakness and by torturing me! Rowena: correct! 😳😔 Dean: there’s so much I’d like to say to all of you! Look we’ve all done things that haunt us but the only way to find grief is to move on and to just accept the way things are! Me: cheers to that! Rowena: my son ‘ gets looked at ‘ never had a chance! at world domination Me: Rowena there’s one thing I forgot to tell you when I was speaking with your son ( Fergus ) he told me that he understood the way you did things and he was just too blinded to see it cuz he was busy being the king of hell! I hate when people completely misread this situation. Sam didn’t say he was fine with Dean dying or wouldn’t save him. He was saying he would never violate his being by forcibly letting a creature posses him like Dean did with gadreel

Mary was such a piece of shit for this. First, she didn't want to believe they were her kids that her kids were still young that she needed time to adjust abandoning them then comes back and turns around and abandons them again choosing the brits over her own kids when she knows the shit they've gone through with them! Fuck Mary that dead beat mom.

Mary and John may be their biological parents bob Bobby and Jody fill the parent role a lot better.

They should’ve made a storyline where Jack was actually Gabriel‘s son. He shares a lot of the same traits that Gabriel has; especially his love and faith for what it means to be human.

I'll always say it: it would have been better to bring John back instead of Mary, I think at least John would have a little bit more history with the whole Man of Letters affair, and maybe he wasn't the exemplary father, but at least he admitted his mistakes and thanks to him, Sam and Dean learned everything they know and saved the world. As Dean said, "None of this would have been possible without you."

People forget that this isnt about helping each other. Dean made a crazy angel possess Sam, he lost memories and didn't understand what was happening to him. Dean lied to him for half a year. As long as Dean lives, he decides if Sam lives or dies and that is not okay. Same circumstances, Sam would have accept Deans decsion to die. And that makes him a good person, while Dean is just the usual self-absorbed Dick.

I think Sam had a point: Dean cannot live without Sam while Sam has shown the ability to move on without Dean. However, the way he went about telling Dean all this was very harsh basically telling Dean he would let him die.

Families are tough. Fictional or not. Also, I know a little bit of what Sam and Dean are feeling. My Father has been out of my life for 30 years, and for 5 years, he has been trying to play catch up. But he makes me feel more like he didn't really come back for me. but more for my mother. no matter how much he tries to tell himself and act otherwise.

I love this scene soooo much. The subtle ways the boys brace themselves and how Sam falls silent and twists closer to Dean while Dean focuses in on the problem. The delivery and heartache Dean shows while still being strong shows that he was always a soldier, never a child. The way Sam just looks more and more heartbroken and looking over at Dean for guidance. It shows that against everything, "family" included, the boys have truly only had each other. It hurts me that Sam probably grew up hearing the few great memories Dean had of Mary and this is what they get when she's back. You know it's a terrible situation when Dean willingly walks away from food and Sam tries to make himself look smaller.

Greatest fuckin scene

Despite the passage of time, Dean has never been able to forget what Sam said to him, Sam had to explain to Charlie what happened.There are a lot of things I could blame Sam for what he did to Dean. Every time Dean has to save/protect him from something, or someone Sam abandons his older brother, even when Dean always has to make the toughest choices that his little brother isn't capable of making. Dean always tried to reform his broken family but sometimes Sam, John and even Mary, they didn't even do that for Dean. This breaks my heart 😢. The actions and words that Sam can be much more hurtful than a knife blade or other weapon, Sam does not realize that Dean will have suffered all his life. Dean will never have the chance to live his own life, always worrying about Sam and everyone else but not himself. Castiel despite his mistakes (we all make them), Dean changed him and it's reciprocal, Cas was able to give Dean something that changed him too. The meeting between Dean and Castiel was and will remain the most beautiful meeting between a human and an angel. ❤

to me, what solidifes their hurt the most in this clip is how sam didn't hold dean back when he was talking. normally sam is the softer, rational and gentler one, but he never told dean to tone it down or told him he was taking it too far when we all know he normally would. i feel so bad for these two, but especially dean. this clip is just heart wrenching.

I dont think that Dean wanted Mary back, he just wanted his mom back. This betrayal is literally the most painful moment in the show imo.

I wanted to scream SHUT UP SAM JUST SHUT UP so many times during this scene. SAM’s selfishness and self centredness really showed itself here and I hate it
